This dataset follows the recommendations of the Klimaszenarien.AT initiative (https://klimaszenarien.at/) for the further use of ÖKS15 data. Specifically, Approach 2 ("Temporal shift to the current climate") was applied. As a result, the dataset contains identical daily data to the original ÖKS15 (see https://doi.org/10.60669/b37q-jd39 and https://doi.org/10.60669/gp6g-mw85), but with a new dating starting from January 1, 2001. This method ensures that every model aligns with observational data regarding Austria-wide, long-term annual mean temperatures for the 2001–2020 period. Consequently, this may result in shorter time series for some models than in the original dataset. The specific time periods covered are noted in each file name.

For each ÖKS15 model, the period where Autrian-wide long-term (20-year) annual mean temperature matches observations of the period 2001-2020 was determined. The beginning of the respective period was re-dated to January 1st, 2001. All subsequent days received corresponding calendar dates. |
