INCA-v2 (1 h): Meteorological daily analysis data for Austria

Older versions of this dataset will be shut down at the end of December, requiring a change to the endpoint of this version.

Description

Public

The INCA analysis and nowcasting system uses all available data sources, including station observations, remote sensing data, numerical weather prediction models and a high-resolution terrain model, to produce the most accurate analysis of the current state of the near-surface atmosphere. These data sources can most easily be interpreted as a correction of a gridded background field with observation data. INCA is used for flood warning and forecasting, as well as providing the basis for web portals with spatially and temporally detailed meteorological information. The analyses in this dataset have a spatial resolution of 1 km x 1 km and a temporal resolution of 1 hour. The model's orography is available for bulk download.

Integrated Nowcasting through Comprehensive Analysis (INCA) combines a variety of data sources, including stations, remote sensing, weather models and terrain models, to provide precise near-surface atmospheric data. INCA enables high-resolution analysis of a grid field with a spatial resolution of 1 km x 1 km and a temporal resolution of one hour.
