In DISCC-AT (ACRP 14th call) selected heat indices were derived. While ÖKS15 includes several heat indices, all are based on air temperature only. A new version of the SPARTACUS dataset (v3) includes 2-meter dew point temperature which was used to extend the ÖKS15 ensemble by bias adjusted EURO-CORDEX model output. As 2-meter air temperature shows slight changes in the SPARTACUS dataset, 2-meter air temperature of EURO-CORDEX ÖKS15 models were re-bias adjusted. Several heat indices have been derived from air temperature and dew point temperature: indoor wet bulp globe temperature indoor (WGBT-ID), HUMIDEX and the NOAA heat index (HI).
This dataset contains gridded data products with 30yr means of near-surface air temperature (tas), near-surface dew point air temperature (td), heat index (hi), indoor wet bulp globe temperature (WGBT-ID), HUMIDEX and the NOAA heat index (HI) for RCP2.6, RCP4.5, and RCP8.5 for the ÖKS15 periods near future (2021-2050), and far future (2071-2100) in respect to the 1971-2000 mean.
