This dataset contains: daily climatologies of minimum, maximum and mean temperatures, Kysely-day frequency and global radiation, and the corresponding daily fields for the years with the highest domain average temperature, on the original ÖKS15 grid
COIN2 (COst of INaction 2) aims to quantify the future costs of not mitigating climate change, that would specifically affect Austria. To that end bias-corrected and down-scaled climate projections from the EURO-CORDEX ensemble are used to generate input data for a diverse set of impact models, spanning sectors from forestry and agriculture, health, water supply, tourism, etc.

minimum (tn), maximum (tx) and mean (tas) daily temperature as well as mean daily global radiation (rsds) were used to generate daily climatologies and the monthly climatology of the Kysely-day (https://data.hub.geosphere.at/uploads/misc/Datensatzbeschreibung_Klimaindizes_logo_v20240611.pdf) frequency over 3 distinct time periods: 2001-2020 (present), 2041-2060 (2050) and 2071-2090 (2080).
Additionally, the year with the highest domain average annual temperature within each period and each model is chosen to produce daily minimum, maximum and mean temperature and global radiation timeslices (hottestyear), which were further analyzed to calculate the monthly Kysely-day frequency (kyselyfreq_monmean) for said years.
